HEMP FARMING BENEFITS

CO2 Sequestration

A hectare of hemp sequesters between 9 to 15 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide, almost as much as a young forest, and it only takes three to four months to grow!

Biodiversity

Hemp produces large amounts of pollen between July and September, while other plants are off their flowering stage. Hemp crops also shelter birds, and their seeds serve as animal feed.

Water-Saving

Hemp requires little water to grow.
Its dense leaves also protect the soils from erosion while preventing water loss.

Pesticides

The hemp crop is one of the least susceptible to pests. Therefore, there's barely a need for insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.

Protection

Due to the shading capacity and fast growth of hemp plants, invasive weeds have more difficulty growing.

OUR COMMITMENT

•••••

Canhify is committed to preserving nature and sustainably exploring the existing natural resources to develop industrial hemp crops.
We actively look for technological and creative solutions to overcome industry challenges, while working with our partners in the process of studying innovative applications for our products.

hemp & sustainability

The production of Hemp is carbon negative, which means it absorbs more carbon from the atmosphere during its growth than is emitted by the equipment used to harvest, process and transport it.
